Saturday was an exciting day for 226 eighth graders, who took the first step toward joining the Caravan by taking the high school placement test at Mount Carmel.  A make-up opportunity for anyone who missed the placement test is scheduled for next Saturday, December 14, at 7:00 a.m.

Also on Saturday, Mount Carmel hosted a quad wrestling meet, and was successful in three out of four competitions.  The Caravan defeated Marist         68-4; beat Marmion 63-2; and were victorious against Providence 61-12.  The only loss on the day was to Montini, which held off Mount Carmel 32-26.

Saturday night’s Mother-Son Dance was a festive affair, attended by several hundred “couples.”  Thanks to the Alumni Moms, the Student Commons and Carmelite Saints Hallway were festively decorated, and everyone enjoyed the snack tables which included cookies, brownies, and punch.  As always, a highlight of the evening was the “Class dances,” during which freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, along with their moms, have the dance floor to themselves.
