Prom will be a night to remember
This year senior prom will once again be held at Navy Pier, Crystal Garden Room on Saturday, May 9, 2015, from seven o’clock to midnight.
As a condition of attendance, all seniors and their parents must attend a pre-prom meeting. The meeting will be hosted in the Cacciatore Athletic Center on Wednesday, April 29, at 6 PM.
According to Mr Sean Sweany, Student Council moderator, “The meeting will establish ground rules on how the students should act at prom. They will state other details about the prom such as starting time, what they will eat, and rules for the couples.”
The excitement is starting for some students as they prepare to experience this once in a life time event.
Senior DeAndre Greer can’t wait for the prom. “I’m looking forward to bringing my date and having a great time with my friends. I’m happy to see what it feels like and especially because I have never been to Navy Pier.”
Greer’s classmate, Nik Giles, knows this will be a good day. “Prom will be fun I know that for a fact and I can’t wait.” Prom will be a “night to remember.”
However another senior, Marquise Peggs, doesn’t feel that happy about prom like some students. “It is good, but not really on my mind.” He doesn’t think it is any different from a weekend. “It is no different from a weekend to me, but I just want to have fun.”
