Father-son tradition continues
The Father-Son Dinner takes place on Wednesday, October 22 at 6:00pm. This event has been bringing fathers and their sons closer together for years. Students and their fathers have the opportunity to commit to each other, while enjoying a night full of raffles, trivia, and food.
The highlight of the night is the featured guest speaker, Frank Maloney, who is a former Mount Carmel head football coach and Cubs baseball ticket operations director.
While listening to the guest speaker, fathers and their sons will dine on food catered from Calabria’s Italian restaurant. The alumni fathers will host the event to give current Mount Carmel fathers the opportunity to spend time with their sons.
Fathers’ Club treasurer Greg McKay has high hopes for the event, “It should be an enjoyable night of father-son bonding. Also it’s a great opportunity for fathers to meet and get to know each other.”
Along with having a great time students will attend the Father-Son Dinner with the hope of a future pizza party in mind, as the Studium with the largest attendance will receive that reward courtesy of the Fathers’ Club.
Tickets are being sold now and can be bought on the Mount Carmel website or through the school office. Each ticket is $15, if purchased before the event or $25 per ticket at the door.
