This summer Mount Carmel will have two new summer camps for prospective grammar school students.  These new camps add to the many opportunities for current 6th to 8th graders to spend a week on campus with the Caravan.

In past years, the majority of summer camps have been sports-related, like the football, basketball, track and wrestling clinics. These camps offer a chance for kids to get together with possible future classmates and get better at their respective sports.

A recent post on the Mount Carmel social media pages announced that this summer, those traditional camps will be joined by a 21st Century Media Clinic that will focus on developing social media skills, creating GIFs, video production, as well as broadcasting. This camp will be happening on July 12-13.

A second new camp this year will focus on cooking and culinary arts. Like the media camp, this is for sixth graders to incoming freshmen and will take place July 14-17. It will show kids how to make new and exciting dishes at home and with ease.
