Fight Night is the most important fundraiser of the entire year for Mount Carmel’s Father’s Club. The proceeds go toward helping students with financial aid, supporting the school’s athletic programs, as well as other school needs.

This year’s 39th Annual Fight Night will take place on April 25 in the Alumni Gym, with doors opening at 6 PM and the bouts beginning at 7 PM.  Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

The weight classes for this year’s event range from light-heavyweight (100 pounds) to super- heavyweight (280 pounds and above).

In order to be eligible to compete on Fight Night a student must battle his way through boxing intramurals, winning two preliminary rounds. Students also must be academically eligible.

For senior Kevin Krahn, Fight Night is “a very unique atmosphere; the crowd usually comes out and packs the gym [Alumni Gym].”

Sophomore Thomas Gill agreed. “It’s very interesting to watch your friends battle it out to crown a champion.”

The Father’s Club hopes once again to see a great turnout  for this important fundraiser, and extends an invitation to Mount Carmel friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else who would like to enjoy an important night.
