The hockey team has had a good start to their season, beating Marist 4 to 3 and having a close match against Carmel Mundelein but losing 5 to 4. Their 1 and 1 record this season is creating optimism inside the team about their chances in the postseason, including both the Chicago Catholic League (CCL) and State championships.

Senior Andrew Walsh, who is a right-wing (position), says, “There’s a chance that we can make it to the CCL, and we all are striving to make it to the State Championship. There is certainly some work that needs to be done in practices and on the team, but I think it’s possible.”

The hockey team faces off against Brother Rice on October 7th, and, if they win, their odds of getting into the CCL increase.
