MC starts off week 10 of the first trimester today. The Caravan sports had a great weekend; the soccer team won its playoff game against Shepard High School, and the Caravan football won the Chicago Catholic League Green Division on all levels (freshmen, sophomore, varsity). The soccer team continues its playoff run on Wednesday, while the varsity football team starts the IHSA playoffs this Friday.

The buzz last Friday was about a large hawk, which attacked a squirrel outside of school. Later, the hawk perched on top of the fountain between the buildings. This followed sightings by the freshman football team earlier in the week of a deer and coyote in Jackson Park.
