Today, the Metra and South Shore line was shut down due to ice. This deprived many of the MC students who rely on those trains any opportunity to get to school.  Many other students traveled through slushy/icy road conditions, but managed to arrive safely.  This has been an unusual winter for extreme weather, which already has  resulted in three “e-days” where school was cancelled and students worked from home.
