There was lots of activity for Mount Carmel Students this weekend:

Congratulations to Dr. Rodgers and the Caravan Robotics Team which went 3-3-1 at the VEX State Championship on Saturday, finishing in 30th place out of 56 teams. The team included seniors Zachery Cotton, Tom Dart, Anthony Kubik; juniors: Kaleb Cowgur and Maximus North; sophomore Michael Mota; and freshmen Luke Black, Jack Brown, Justin Carney, and Devin Jones.

Congratulations also to Mr. Milavickas and the members of the Mount Carmel Math Team who participated in the ICTM Regionals on Saturday.  Individual Placers at the competition included Aidan Rodgers in Pre-Calculus; the Junior/Senior 8-man team of Blake Lopez, Sebastian Manrique, Aidan Rodgers, Cesar Sanchez, Brian Sullivan, Jon Weber, Kieran Conjar, and Abdel Raoul which took 2nd Place; the Junior/Senior 2-man team of Aidan Rodgers and Jon Weber which also took 2nd Place; and the Freshman/Sophomore 2-man team of Kolton Hall and Max Milavickas which also took 2nd Place.  The team also included freshmen Ethan Godinez, Patrick Sullivan, and Jacob White; and sophomore  Luka DiFillipo, and junior Eric Ramirez.

Finally, congratulations to Mr. Scheuring and the Mount Carmel Classics Club on its participation in this weekend’s Illinois Junior Classics League Annual Convention.
