As the school year rushes to a close next week, some spring sports teams are involved in playoff competition.

MC Volleyball defeated Lindblom on Wednesday evening to capture the IHSA regional championship. They now advance to the De LaSalle Sectional on Friday at 5:30.

Meanwhile, Mount Carmel’s varsity baseball team defeated Kenwood Academy on Thursday afternoon by a score of 15 to 4.  The team will play Lyons Township for the IHSA Regional Championship at Haggerty Field on Saturday at 11 a.m.
