With the first week of school almost in the books, we’re off to a great start! The football season opens tonight with the freshman team competing against South Elgin High School at 5:30, followed by the varsity game against the Calumet Warriors at 7:30. The theme for the game tonight is tropical wear, and it is looking very tropical today with lots of Hawaiian shirts and leis all around the school. Based on the number of students who say they plan to attend tonight, we can expect a full stadium. Because it is the first game ever to be played in the new stadium it should be a memorable evening. With Monday being Labor Day, the weekend will be even more special.
