It was a busy – and mostly successful weekend for MC athletic teams.

Congratulations to all three levels of Caravan football for victories over Br. Rice on Friday and Saturday.  The program finished regular season competition with a combined record of 25-1-1.  Both the varsity (9-0) and freshman (9-0) teams earned Catholic League conference championships.

The freshman “B” team will play Br. Rice’s “B” squad in a non-conference game on Monday afternoon.

The varsity enters the state playoffs with a first round matchup against Eisenhower on Friday, November 1, at 7:30 p.m. The game will be played at Barda-Dowling Stadium.

The cross-country team advanced out of the Riverside-Brookfield Regional on Saturday, and will compete in the Thornridge Sectional on Saturday, November 2.

The Caravan Varsity Team completed its season on Saturday, falling to Lincoln Way West by a score of 3-1 in the IHSA Regional Championship.  Despite the loss, the team had another very successful season, including Catholic League conference championships at the varsity and freshman levels.
