Another big weekend for the Caravan:  varsity football advanced to the IHSA semi-finals for the third straight year, defeating Phillips 24 to 8.   Mount Carmel will play Willowbrook High School on Saturday, November 23, at 1:00 p.m.

The Caravan Bowling Team also had a successful weekend:  led by Kolton Hall, the varsity won all three games against  DePaul Prep, while the JV also swept St. Ignatius on a strong performance by Aiden Fitzpatrick.

The popular NBC drama “Chicago Fire” will be filming a segment on Mount Carmel’s campus this week.  The name of the school will be changed to “Stover Academy” for the segment, so today set designers are busy covering real signage with the fictionalized name.  Filming may be underway on Tuesday morning, so expect a chaotic scene in the parking lots and entry ways.
