A television production crew was back on campus today, filming interior scenes for an upcoming episode of “Chicago Fire.”  In addition to fabricating a “fire” in the Cacciatore Gym, there was a scene shot in the school office – which was “dressed” with a whole new set of furniture and signage.  Apparently our desks and chairs weren’t up to the standards of “Stover Academy.”  Strangely, they even replaced the black stapler on the main desk with a green stapler.  (However, they didn’t bother to fill it with staples.)

Elsewhere on campus today, Mrs. Julie Chappetto arranged for the first blood drive of the year.  Faculty, staff, and students who are 16 years old or older were able to donate.

The Advent Action food drive also is underway.  All students and staff are asked to donate at least five cans of food, which will be used to replenish the shelves at the Maple-Morgan Park Food Pantry following Thanksgiving.
