November 26, 2019

With the five day Thanksgiving holiday looming, today is one of those days when the clock seems to be stuck and time seems to stand still.  Thankfully, the academic part of the day will finish a bit early, as students and faculty will gather in Alumni Gym at 2:15 for a pep rally in preparation for Saturday’s state championship football game.

In addition to the state football championship, MC athletes will compete in Thanksgiving tournaments in basketball and hockey this week.

The Caravan takes on South Shore International School at 7 p.m. tonight in the Cacciatore Gym as part of the Frank Kiszka Memorial Basketball Tournament.  MC then plays Gary Comer Prep on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  The championship game is scheduled for Friday at 6:00 p.m.

The Caravan hockey team travels to the University of Notre Dame for the Irish South Bend Cup Tournament.  MC will play at least three games:  Friday at 1:45 vs. Notre Dame Prep (from Arizona);   Saturday at 10:45 a.m. vs. Moeller (Cincinnati); and Saturday 6:00 p.m. St. Joseph (South Bend).
