The Mount Carmel community honored the triumphant 2019 varsity football team with a pep rally this morning.  Athletic Director Dan Lacount was master of ceremony for the event, and MC President Ned Hughes, Principal Scott Tabernacki, and Head Coach Jordan Lynch all spoke.

Lynch expressed appreciation to all those whose hard work contributed to the team’s success this year, including Athletic Department secretary Sue Doheny, Head Trainer “Doc” Awe and his student trainers, and the team managers.  Each of the speakers commended the student body for the strong support shown throughout the season, and especially for creating a genuine home field advantage at the new Barda-Dowling Stadium.

The celebration will continue on Tuesday morning when WCIU/Ch 26 will broadcast its morning show “The Jam” from Alumni Gym from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m.
