The MC community turned out by the hundreds early this morning to participate in “The Jam,”  a morning news program on WCIU/Channel 26.  More than 400 students, MC cheerleaders, faculty, staff, parents and younger siblings had filled Alumni Gym by 6 a.m. to honor the IHSA 7A State Champion Caravan football team.  The MC band and drum line added to the festivity, and Caravan Media Group broadcasters Cesar Sanchez, Xandru Borst and Adam Sieracki had a chance to bring their talents to live television.

The early start to the day undoubtedly will be felt by all in the afternoon classes, but it was well worth the effort: Principal Scott Tabernacki previously had promised to begin Christmas break a day early if the student body came through by attending today’s broadcast.
