Mount Carmel Principal Scott Tabernacki announced today that Friday, December 20 will be a holiday in honor of the Mount Carmel’s IHSA State Champion football team.  That means Christmas vacation starts one day earlier than originally planned.

In basketball action on Tuesday evening, the sophomore team defeated DePaul Prep 47-46 on a buzzer-beater.  The varsity game was equally competitive, but the Caravan lost 49-45.
