Last night’s airing of the NBC series Chicago Fire was filmed on location at Mount Carmel, although our school was re-branded as “Stover Academy” for the episode.  In addition to changing all the signs in our building, the program changed the school profile.  Instead of our inclusive, Catholic high school program for a diverse student body, Stover Academy was portrayed as a private, K-12 selective school for affluent families.  The subsequent line – which dealt with a student repeatedly pulling fire alarms – played out much differently than it would have if it happened at MC.

Setting aside the story, our buildings and grounds looked great!
