After several weeks of planning the school’s participation in the South Side St. Patrick’s Day parade, Mr. Phil Segroves announced this morning that the parade has been cancelled by the city of Chicago, due to concerns about the potential spread of the coronavirus.  The news came on the very day when many students were picking up their green MC sweatshirts that had been produced for the parade.  Luckily, there will be another opportunity to wear green next Tuesday as MC celebrates St. Pat’s Day/St. Baldrick’s Day during Spirit Week.
