Despite 2020 being the year of quarantining, the last thing high school students want to do is sit inside for all of 2021. Chicago is one of the largest cities in the country, which means there are plenty of places to have fun. There are plenty of parks to visit, sites to see, and foods to enjoy.

Grant Park is one of the best parks in the city; it has many things offer many thing to see and do, including Buckingham Fountain.

Another downtown sight is Millennium Park, home to the famous shiny bean, which makes it a popular place to hangout and get photos to upload to your instagrams.

Many buildings like the Art Institute of Chicago are closed. However, there are still plenty of places to go. The Lincoln Park Zoo is still open, however you would need to make an appointment beforehand. There are a bunch of escape rooms around the city. Escape rooms are always fun to do with friends to test your intelligence. If you are into watching movies there are still theaters open, for example Music Box Theater.

While many professional teams in Chicago do not allow fans currently, it is still fun to visit and walk around Wrigley, Soldier, and Guaranteed Rate Fields, and there are plenty of things to do around each.

Finally, Chicago offers many great places to grab food and parks to go for a walk and soak up the sun’s warmth.
