Mr. James Easterhouse is the new media specialist for Mount Carmel.

James Raymond Easterhouse, an MC alum, now works as the new media specialist at Mount Carmel. He also manages the website as well as all of the MC social media accounts. Although Easterhouse graduated in 2011, he is not the first in his family to attend Mount Carmel. His great uncle, legendary coach Frank Kiszka, and his grandfather Joe Owczarzak also went here. He also has a cousin, senior T.J. Pomponi, who attends MC.

A native of Evergreen Park, Easterhouse attended college at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where he majored in communications. He also studied abroad in Denmark and came back with nothing but positive experiences. After graduating in 2015, he acquired a summer internship for the Los Angeles Times specifically for press releases and journalism. He really enjoyed working with professionals in the field of journalism.

Directly after that, Easterhouse came back to Mount Carmel,  and so far, he really enjoys it. He loves how the school represents itself and appreciates the diversity amongst the student body. “I loved it as a student, and now I love it being a part of the staff.”

As the new media specialist, he looks forward to positive experiences while working with his colleagues.
